Trees worth millions burn to ashes as fire spreads in Lodhran forest

A fire broke out in the Miranpur forest of Lodhran late last night burning trees worth millions of rupees to ashes, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
Rescue and fire brigade teams carried out an operation and brought the fire under control after hours-long efforts.
According to Rescue 1122, the fire, which broke out for an unknown reason, spread to four acres and damaged trees.
The fire caused damage to trees worth about Rs3 million.
The fire was brought under control after a 35-minute rescue operation.
According to Forest Department, the incident of fire is being investigated.
