Punjab govt approves Rs3.5b for Lahore additional projects

The Punjab government Monday approved to provide additional funds worth Rs 3.5 billion to Lahore for additional 70 projects.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the approved funds would be included in the budget for the current financial year for Lahore.
As per the official documents, the new entrants for Lahore included the after-noon school program, a new bridge on River Ravi and the Sagian Road Scheme.
While most of the schemes worth Rs139 million will be completed in the minority community constituencies. A budget of Rs400 million has also been approved for construction works in Gulberg.
Lahore is currently undergoing the completion of more than 700 small and large development projects for which a development budget of over Rs52 billion has been allocated in the current financial year 2021-22 and a fund of Rs25 billion has been released to the provincial institutions.
