Singapore’s Tiffany Teo reaches MMA final of Asian Games

Singapore’s Tiffany Teo advanced to the Asian Games 2026 MMA final after a dramatic semi-final against India’s Suchika ended in a tie, 24NewsHD TV reported on Tuesday.

The two fighters were level at the end of the scheduled bout, forcing a one-minute overtime round.

Teo was initially declared the winner by a 2-1 decision after the overtime, but India protested the result.

Following a review, the bout was declared a draw.

Under the tournament rules, a tied bout is decided in favour of the fighter with the lower body weight.

Suchika weighed around 700 grams more than Teo, giving the Singaporean fighter the advantage and sending her into the final, while the Indian fighter was eliminated.
