A man and his wife were slaughtered with a sharp-edged knife for contracting second marriage in Kharian, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

The incident took place near Charanwala Farm in the jurisdiction of Kharian Saddr police.

The deceased belonged to Chiniot, and they laboured at the farm.

A case was registered under various provisions including murder and attempted murder.

The case was registered at Saddr police station against four nominated and five unknown persons.

Police said that the case had been registered on the complaint of the mother of the deceased man identified as Jabbar.

Man shoots dead brother-in-law in Attock

A man shot dead his brother-in-law, husband of his sister, over a domestic row in Boota village, a suburb of Attock district.

37-year-old Safdar died on the spot in firing by Sajid. The accused escaped the scene after shooting dead his brother-in-law Safdar.

The police shifted the body to a hospital with the help of Rescue 1122 and started a search for the arrest of the accused.
