December 23, 2021 11:48 AM

A mentally challenged person’s happiness knew no bounds when people of his locality in Hyderabad arranged a ‘fake’ marriage function only to fulfill his wish of getting married, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

People in Tando Fazal area of the city made Faisal to wear a bridegroom’s costume, beat drums to create an ambiance of a marriage party, but all without any wife sitting by his side on the stage.

Residents of the area told the media that after seeing other youth getting married, Faisal would often insist on his own marriage; resultantly they had to arrange a ‘fake’ wedding function so that his desire could be fulfilled.

Faisal’s face beamed with joy when he saw guests arriving at his house and people dancing to drumbeat.

On the occasion, special prayers were also offered for the wellbeing of the bridegroom.
