Two held in Surjani Town shootout with police: Five members of smuggling gang held in operation
A girl was shot dead by armed men during a house robbery in Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
According to police, the incident took place in Korangi area where four armed men tied the family up with ropes and looted valuables in the house.
They opened fire while fleeing, killing the girl on the spot. Her was shifted to Jinnah Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
On the other hand, two suspects were held in injured condition during a shootout with police in Surjani Town, Karachi.
The police also recovered two illegal 30 bore pistols with ammunition from the possession of the accused.
“The accused have been shifted to a hospital for medical treatment,” police said.
Also, Shahrah-e-Noor Jahan police arrested five members of a gang involved in smuggling the snatched cell phones and motorcycles to Afghanistan through Quetta.
The police arrested three members of the gang in an operation that was carried out on the identification of two accused – Hanzla and Hasnain – who had been arrested earlier in a police encounter on December 18.
The police recovered cash, over 30 cell phones, one pistol, two motorcycles, and documents from the possession of the accused.
