It's never too late to learn: 50-year-old sets educational example by passing matric

An elderly man has passed his matriculation exams at the age of 50, providing a clear message that the pursuit of knowledge knows no age limit.

The student identified as Ghulam Murtaza Kazmi, a resident of Hattian Bala Chinari of Jhelum Valley, Azad Kashmir, is well-known for his contributions to social and political causes. 

His remarkable achievement, under the Mirpur Board, has become a beacon of motivation for both youth and elders in the region.  

Speaking on the occasion, Kazmi said, “Education is not merely a certificate—it is awareness, determination, and the continuous improvement of oneself. The learning process never truly ends, and when one has the passion, neither age nor responsibilities can stand in the way.”

He further encouraged the younger generation to persist with dedication and hard work.

“If the youth remain committed, failure is not an option. I, too, passed my matric exams at 50 through sheer hard work and persistence,” he added.

Kazmi's accomplishment is being widely celebrated in the community as a shining example of lifelong learning.

 His success stands as proof that it is never too late to return to education.
