CM Maryam inspects development projects during Lahore visit

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Monday visited different areas of Lahore to review the ongoing development projects, reported 24NewsHDTV Channel.

During her visit, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz examined the new overhead bridge on Walton Road and also reviewed the newly constructed “Root 47”.

The Chief Minister was informed that Central Business Development (CBD) completed the project and now the project is functional and opened for normal traffic.

The “Root 47” is 4.5 kilometers long, which comprises double-and three-lane infrastructure.

“Root 47” also connects Kalma Chowk with Walton and named after the independence movement of Pakistan.

Journey from Gulberg to Walton will be completed in a few minutes by using “Root 47”.

This project is equipped with the latest and smart infrastructure and an example of smart development and progress.

Separate walkways constructed on Walton Railway Crossing Flyover for pedestrians and cyclists.

Walton Railway Crossing Flyover is also equipped with a 912 megawatt solar panel which will also generate 1 megawatt electricity.

An artificial pond, fountains, an irrigation system is also constructed for the storage of rainwater.

Many monuments were constructed to highlight the importance of “Root 47”.

On the occasion, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said that Root 47 is an example of bright future of Punjab.
