Security forces thwart terror plot in Balochistan

Security forces personnel foiled a terrorist attempt in Balochistan and recovered a large quantity of arms and communication material, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

According to security sources, the security forces conducted an operation on a tip-off in the Jeerak area of Panjgur and recovered a large quantity of weapons and communication equipment.

During the operation, four rocket fuses and multiple IEDs were seized from a vehicle.

According to security sources, this explosive material was meant to be used in a possible major terrorist attack. 

The timely and professional action by security forces thwarted this nefarious plan.

Security sources further said that this successful operation was clear evidence that security forces remain a strong barrier against anti-peace elements in Balochistan.

Earlier on June 6, 2026, security forces killed six terrorists in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Panjgur district.
