In a horrific incident within the limits of Golra Police Station of Islamabad, a milk-seller shot dead a customer, who happened to be his neighbour, for not paying an outstanding amount of Rs9,000, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
The incident happened when the victim along with his son approached the shop in Golra police station premises to buy milk and when the shopkeeper asked for the accumulated bill he refused to pay.
This infuriated the shopkeeper who took out a gun and opened fire on both of them.
The man later identified as Asghar died of bullet wounds.
The victim and the shopkeeper had heated exchanges of words during the last two days.
SP Hamza Humayun told 24NewsHD TV channel that people should show some tolerance. Killing someone over merely Rs9,000 was not fair, he added.
The police arrested the accused shopkeeper as further investigation into the matter continued.
