Polling in Lahore constituency delayed
Polling was delayed by 50 minutes at Polling Station No. 74, NA-129 constituency Lahore, situated in the Government Islamia High School, located in Justice Sharif Polling Station, due to the late arrival of polling staff, reported by 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Later, the polling started at 8.50 am. Voters waited for the arrival of the polling staff so they could cast their vote.
Polling for bye-elections is already underway in Lahore, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Haripur, Mianwali, Muzaffarabad, and Dera Ghazi Khan.
Strict security arrangements have already been adopted by the Pakistan Army, and contingents of law enforcement agencies (LEAs) have already been deployed at the polling stations.
Two thousand seven hundred ninety-two polling stations were declared sensitive, and 408 were declared most sensitive.
