Hike in airfare doubles passengers’ problems

As soon as the ban on Pakistani passengers was lifted by various countries, the airlines’ managements have increased the prices of air tickets many folds, reported 24News HD TV channel on Thursday.
As per details, the airline tickets prices have been increased by 2 to 3 times. According to travel agents, the fare for economy class from Lahore to London has increased from Rs80,000 to Rs200,000. Dubai business class return ticket from Lahore has crossed Rs 400,000 while Emirates' ticket to Dubai has gone up to Rs125000 instead of the previous price of Rs60,000. The one-way fare from Lahore to London Virgin Atlantic has gone up to Rs250000. Air Arabia's ticket for Ras Al Khaimah has gone up at Rs68,000 with an increase of Rs 28,000. Turkish Air ticket for Istanbul has gone up to Rs 180,000 with a 100 percent increase in price. The ticket of Ittihad Air for Abu Dhabi has increased from Rs 75,000 to Rs 125,000.
Travel Agents Association leader Mirza Ayub held the airlines’ administrations for skyrocketing hike in airfare. The association demanded action against the airlines.
