Priest’s killers shot dead in encounter with Gujranwala police

Two shooters involved in the murder of a priest were killed in an alleged police encounter in the Civil Lines area of Gujranwala on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to details, Civil Lines police were taking the accused Ikramullah and Shoaib for recovery when three unknown accomplices of the accused opened fire on the police party to rescue them.

During a two-way firefight, Ikramullah and Shoaib were killed by their own accomplices.

The deceased accused had shot and killed Christian pastor Kamran on December 5, 2025.

The accomplices of the accused managed to escape from the spot.

CPO Dr. Sardar Ghiyas Gul Khan took immediate notice of the encounter and sought report from SP Civil Lines.

Police teams have been formed under the supervision of SDPO Satellite Town to arrest the absconding accused.

Protection of life and property of citizens and establishment of law and order is the top priority of the police, CPO said.
