SHCC intensifies crackdown on quacks clinics across Sindh
The Sindh Healthcare Commission (SHCC) has launched crackdown on quacks across the province following rise of HIV cases at Walika Hospital in Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
According to SHCC spokesperson Mustafa Jatoi, clinics being operated by quacks were being sealed on a daily basis and those found violating the law were being fined as welll.
He said Healthcare Commission had sealed 752 quack clinics across Sindh during the past six months. Operations against quacks were also underway in Karachi site Area, Baldia, North Karachi and other parts of the city.
Mustafa Jatoi said thousands of quack clinics were operating across Sindh and added that the commission was determined to eliminate illegal medical practice throughout the province.
The spokesperson further claimed that some influential quacks have started using their political influence to avoid action.
