Praising the law-enforcement agencies (LEAs) for achieving a breakthrough in the investigation into Johar Town, Lahore bomb blast by arresting mastermind of the incident, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid said on Thursday that investigation was underway, and soon Punjab Police would get to the culprits, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In an interview with 24News, he said anti-state elements’ designs were bound to fail since institutions in the country were independent.
“Fencing of Pak-Afghan border will be completed by one month,” he said, and added, “The fencing of country’s border with Iran will, however, take a year.”
Rashid was of the view that if the recent incidents of terror were meant to make the government instable, Pakistan Army would defeat such a conspiracy.
“Those forces, which want to create anarchy in the country and bring Pakistan under pressure by carrying out terrorist activities, will never succeed since Pakistan will never be cowed down by their tactics,” the minister vowed.
He claimed that the country had witnessed political and economic stability under the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government. “And since our enemies do not want to see us progress, therefore, they have launched terrorist attacks in the country afresh,” he said, added, “But the people of Pakistan along with their armed forces will never country’s enemies succeed.”
