The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Tuesday postponed conditioning camp being held in Lahore due to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's long march on May 25.
PTI chairman and former Pakistani PM Imran Khan had called long march towards Islamabad on May 25.
In light of the current political situation in Rawalpindi/Islamabad, PCB has postponed second phase of the conditioning camp featuring 61 cricketers, scheduled to start from May 26 to June 10.
PCB has directed cricketers to move to their respective cities as soon as possible. New dates of the camp will be announced in due course.
PCB has also postponed trials for the Southern Punjab and Northern’s city cricket associations while the dates of trials scheduled for Sindh’s city cricket associations are also being changed.
PCB offices will also remain shut due to the long march as the board has asked its employees to work from home.
It must be noted here that Pakistan home ODI series against West Indies is also scheduled in Rawalpindi on June 8, 10, and 12.
The cricket board already kept Multan as back-up option to host the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup fixtures.
