Sonam Kapoor glows in white as she embraces second pregnancy at 40
Sonam Kapoor just doubled the joy as she flaunted her baby bump in a new white ensemble: she and husband Anand Ahuja are expecting their second child, due in Spring 2026.
The 40-year-old Bollywood style icon, already mother to son Vayu (born August 2022), broke the news in a chic Instagram post.
In her caption, translated from Hindi as “the heart doesn’t change…it only starts beating for others,”
Sonam celebrated being “wrapped in love, heritage & the journey of becoming” a mother.
Husband and businessman Anand Ahuja was eager to jump in awe and support of his wife’s beautiful pictures, commenting: “You are magic. I said it before and I’ll say it again and over and over and over. Magic,” while Bollywood actresses like Ananya Panday and Mrunal Thakur expressed their sentiments by dropping a heart (like) on the pictures.
The announcement quickly drew warm wishes from fans and friends.
In recent snapshots shared on November 23, 2025 from a wedding she attended, Sonam looked absolutely radiant. She chose a custom white Rahul Mishra ensemble – a delicate A-line kurta with salwar, richly embroidered in gold thread, an oversized Maharani necklace added regal flair, and she completed the look with traditional jhoomar earrings, gold bangles and matching juttis.
Fans gushed over how gracefully she flaunted her baby bump. Sonam’s caption for the post echoed her earlier announcement: “Dil badalta nahi… bas auron ke liye dhadkne lagta hai. Wrapped in love, heritage & the journey of becoming.”
Curious observers note that Sonam initially kept her bump under wraps at a recent Karwa Chauth puja – paparazzi caught her entering in a red saree and carefully hiding her tummy.
