Pakistan has finalized its T20 playing XI for the high-voltage match against India at Dubai International Stadium today, dropping Haider Ali, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Pakistan team final: Babar Azam (captain), Shadab Khan (vice-captain), Muhammad Rizwan, Sohaib Malik, Muhammad Hafeez, Fakhar Zaman, Asif Ali, Imad Wasim, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Hassan Ali, and Haris Rauf.

The TV channel quoting its sources said that the team was finalized yesterday night.

Haider Ali was part of the 12-team announced by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Saturday. But as the team ought to choose 11 players and has to drop one player for the match so captain and team management sidelined Haider Ali.

Pakistan and India first met in T20 format in the ICC T20 World Cup 2007 in Durban, which India won in Bowl-Out after both the sides ended up on 141 runs each. Since, the two sides have played each other four more times – including the 2007 edition’s final – in the T20 World Cup.

On the ICC T20I Rankings, India is ranked second and Pakistan third, just five points behind. New Zealand, Pakistan’s opponent on Tuesday, is fourth on 257 points.
