SP among three cops martyred in Hangu blast

Three police personnel including Superintendent of Police (SP) were martyred and another was seriously injured in a bomb blast at a police checkpost in Hangu on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to police, Ghulamina check post was blown up by unidentified miscreants with explosives. Second explosion occurred when SP Operations Asada Zubair arrived to inspect the site of the first blast.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi strongly condemned the explosion near the police vehicle in Hangu.

In his message, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid tribute to three police personnel including SP Operation Asad Zubair who lost their lives.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the families of the martyrs.

SP Asad Zubair and the two police personnel attained the great status of martyrdom, Mohsin Naqvi said.

He said the sacrifice of martyred SP Asad Zubair and the two police personnel will not go in vain. 

The sacrifices of KP police officers and soldiers cannot be forgotten, Mohsin Naqvi said.

He said we share the grief of the families of the martyrs equally and all sympathies are with the bereaved families. 

Councilor injured in Swat blast

A local councillor was seriously injured in an explosive material explosion in Kabal area of ​​Swat on Friday. 

According to police, councillor Shah Wazir Khan was shifted to a hospital in a seriously injured condition.

Police reached the scene and started investigation.
