Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Thursday said PPP demanded free and fair elections in Gilgit Baltistan so the people of Gilgit Baltistan can decide their own future.

Bilawal counting PPP’s contributions and feats in Gilgit Baltistan tweeted, “Reforms firstly introduced in Gilgit Baltistan by former prime minister Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto in 1974. ZAB abolished Frontier Crimes Regulations (FCR) and Raajgi system from Gilgit Baltistan and the first legal framework order was given by Benazir Bhutto Shaheed in 1994 to Gilgit Baltistan.”

Bilawal said, “In 2009, former president Asif Ali Zardari gave Gilgit Baltistan its name, empowered its assembly and more.”

Bilawal said he promised more rights to the people of Gilgit Baltistan in PPP’s manifesto for 2018 general elections. “We now demand free and fair elections in Gilgit Baltistan so the people of GB can decide their own future,” PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari added.

“Pakistan People’s Party will run the 2020 election on the same manifesto and it is time to make the people of GB’s dream a reality,” Bilawal maintained.
