IHC chief justice’s courtroom given status of e-court

Paperless system has been introduced in the courtroom of Islamabad High Court (IHC) Chief Justice (CJ) Sardar Muhammad Sarfaraz Dogar, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
Similarly, large TV screens have been installed in courtroom no 1 for online hearings.
Apart from that, the chief justice’s courtroom has been given the status of an e-court.
Commenting on the development, Prosecutor General Islamabad Manzoor Ahmad Jajja has said that the latest technology would help expedite the hearing of cases and ensure their transparency.
On the other hand, lawyers have said that the introduction of technology is a first step towards bringing the provision of justice in harmony with the modern-day requirements.
