Sadia Imam reveals why Meera quit Tamasha 5 so soon
Actress Sadia Imam has revealed the surprising reason behind Meera’s early exit from Tamasha 5, recalling how the veteran actress told her she struggled to continue in the house without a script.
Meera had entered the Tamasha house as a wildcard, with viewers expecting the celebrated Lollywood actress to bring her outspoken personality and star power to the reality show. However, her stay turned out to be brief, leaving many fans wondering why she exited so soon.
During a recent television appearance, Sadia Imam opened up about the matter and recalled a phone conversation she had with Meera after her departure. According to Sadia, she asked her longtime friend why she had left so early when she had previously said that she wanted to win the show.
Sadia explained that she and Meera know each other through their professional association with Akif Ilyas, while their friendship goes back to their work in the entertainment industry.
Recalling the conversation, Sadia said Meera gave an unexpected reason for leaving Tamasha.
“Meera called me after walking out of Tamasha house, and I asked her, ‘Why did you leave so early? You told me you were there to win.’”
According to Sadia, Meera told her that she was accustomed to working with scripts in films and found the unscripted environment of the Tamasha house difficult.
“Sadia, we are used to following the script in movies. I can read the script, and there was no script at the Tamasha house. You please write me a script, and I will continue in the Tamasha house,” Sadia recalled Meera telling her.
The response left Sadia amused, and she jokingly asked how she could write a script for Meera when contestants inside the house were not allowed to use their phones.
“I said, ‘How can I write you a script as per the format? You guys aren’t allowed phones, so how will it happen?’” Sadia recalled.
Sadia said she “kind of loved Meera’s innocence” but also found the situation surprising, particularly because experienced film actresses are used to working with prepared scripts and dialogues, unlike contestants on a reality show.
She then praised fellow Tamasha 5 contestant Laila for her active participation in discussions inside the house.
“That’s why I am impressed with Laila; her participation is amazing. She has pretty much talked about everything,” Sadia said.
Meera’s entry had already attracted attention because of her long association with the film industry and her connection with Laila. She joined the show as a wildcard contestant and was expected to support Laila during her time in the house.
Her early departure soon became another talking point among Tamasha viewers, with fans questioning what had led to her short stay.
