Fire breaks out at Karachi garment factory

The Karachi Water and Sewerage Board on Sunday imposed an emergency on Sakhi Hasan Hydrants and Crush Plant after a garment factory caught fire in Orangi Town, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
A garment factory in Orangi Town, the northwestern part of Karachi caught fire after which the water board declared an emergency.
Several rescue and firefighting teams have rushed to the factory and started dousing the blaze.
Meanwhile, a large number of water tankers have been sent to the factory, said Water and Sewerage Board MD Asad Ullah Khan. He said more water tankers were being sent to the spot to control the fire.
He said they were constantly in contact with the fire brigade. He said the hydrants personnel were also being sent to the spot. He said they would continue free of charge water supply to the fire brigade to control the fire.
