A man killed his sister in a suburban village of Arifwala following an altercation over an issue, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

According to the police, Robina, a mother of six, had come to meet her parents when she and her brother Ghulam Mustafa had an argument after which the latter opened fire at her, resulting in her death.

Police said that the body of the deceased had been shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for the post-mortem.

The Force further said they had registered the case and arrested the suspect.

A woman was killed while another was seriously injured when some unidentified men sitting on a bike opened fire at them.

According to the Rescue 1122 personnel, as soon as they learnt about the incident they rushed to Syedwala Road near Adda Barra Ghar, and found two women in a pool of blood.   

They added that firstly they provided first aid to them and then shifted them to hospital where 40-year-old Nazia Bibi succumbed to her injuries while 40-year-old Zubaida was under treatment.
