Goods transporters reject hike in diesel price again

All Pakistan Goods Transport Owners Association President Mohammad Awais Chaudhry strongly rejected the hike in diesel prices again and again and urged the government to review diesel prices after 15 days as per the written agreement, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Mohammad Awais Chaudhry on Tuesday warned the government that increases in duties and taxes on diesel directly affect the goods transporters as well as the public.

He said that the general public bearing the burden of the hike in the diesel price is also impacting goods transportation, freight rates, industry, and trade of the country.

The President of Goods Transporters Association said that the prices of diesel should be reviewed after 15 days according to the written agreement.

He said that the government should provide some relief to goods transporters instead of putting more burden on them.

Earlier on August 20, 2026, the All-Pakistan Goods Transporters Association announced a 10 percent reduction in freight charges across the country following a Rs. 32 per liter cut in diesel prices.
