Islamabad High Court on Saturday declared police occupation on CDA flats as illegal, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

The case has been decided by the high court after 16 years.

The Islamabad High Court has ruled that 200 plots should be got evacuated and a report in this regard should be submitted to the court. 

The flats were taken into possession at the time of Red Mosque operation. 

The court said occupation on plots was a clear high-handedness of police.

The CDA appeals against the occupation of flats were lying pending with IHC since 2011. 

The police had acquired 200 plots at the time of Red Mosque operation in 2007.
