Legend cricketer Abdul Qadir’s son arrested for “raping housemaid”
Salman Qadir, son of former Pakistani Test cricket legend Abdul Qadir, has been arrested after being accused of raping a housemaid, 24NewsHD TV reported on Saturday.
According to an FIR lodged under Section 376 of the PPC at Burki police station, the victim claims that Salman Qadir lured her by asking her to come to work urgently.
When she arrived at the housing society gate, he forced her into his car and took her to a farmhouse, where she was allegedly subjected to sexual assault.
Police said the case was registered on the victim’s complaint, and the accused was taken into custody shortly afterward.
An investigation is currently underway.

Salman Qadir has denied wrongdoing, police said, adding that further legal proceedings would follow under Pakistan’s criminal law.
Salman Qadir is known to run a cricket academy in Lahore, where he teaches aspiring young cricketers, raising serious concerns among parents and the public about his conduct.
This shocking allegation not only put Salman Qadir under the media spotlight but also brought renewed scrutiny on the family of the late cricketing icon Abdul Qadir.
Authorities said the victim has been sent for a medical examination as part of standard procedure, while statements are being recorded.
