The Gilgit-Baltistan election commission has notified August 8 as by-poll day in GBA-4 Nagar-I, which fell vacant after Ajmad Hussain stepped down, 24NewsHD reported on Friday.
Public notice via returning officer will be issued on June 26, a notification signed by GB Chief Election Commissioner Raja Shehbaz Khan said on Friday.
Nomination papers submission date is June 26 while the list of candidates will be released on June 30, it said, adding that the final date for the scrutiny is July 3 and appeals can be filed by July 8
The notification said the decision on appeals will be released on July 12 and the final list of candidates will be released on July 13 while the last date for withdrawing nomination papers is July 15 and the commission will allot poll symbols on 16th of July.
