Motorcyclist killed in explosion inside house in Ormara

A man was killed when explosive material concealed in a motorcycle exploded outside the baithak (guesthouse) of a local religious leader in the coastal town of Ormara, Balochistan, 24NewsHD TV reported on Thursday.

According to police, the incident took place in Ghazi Lane, Ormara, during the morning hours.

The explosion occurred near the residence of Syed Maheem Jan, causing panic in the area.

Initial investigations revealed that a man identified as Raja, son of Doshanbe,  a resident of Pasni, reached near the religious leader's baithakon on a motorcycle, when an improvised explosive device (IED) installed in the motorcycle went off.

As a result of the blast, Raja died on the spot.

No other casualties were immediately reported.

Ormara police cordoned off the area and launched an investigation to determine the motive behind the incident and the nature of the explosive material used.
