Ali Musa Gillani arrested in Multan

Police arrested former prime minister and PPP leader Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani’s son Ali Musa Gillani in Multan on Wednesday.

PPP local leader Rao Sajid said that Chehliyak Police arrested the PPP leader over organising a rally without seek permission from the government. Party workers and activists gathered outside the police station and started protest against the arrest of Musa. They protested for the release of Musa Gillani. They set tyres on fire and blocked the road during the protest. 

Reacting on the situation, PPP vice president Senator Sherry Rehman condemned the arrest of Ali Musa Gillani. She demanded immediate release of Musa. Government booked the PPP leader in fake cases, she added. PTI-led federal government afraid of PDM public gathering in Multan. Government took such decision in panic, she added.

PPP leaders Nayyar Bukhari and Nafeesa Shah took a swipe at the government over the arrest of Musa Gillani. They condemned the arrest of PPP leader. Government would not be able to pressurise PPP with these tactics, they added. They demanded the release of Musa Gillani.
