Keeping in mind the security threats during the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally in Rawalpindi, the law enforcement agencies have changed the place of the container stage for Imran Khan third time.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the stage was changed for the third time for the meeting of PTI and now Imran Khan's stage will be set up on the Rawalpindi Sixth Road’s flyover.
The channel reported that three containers have been installed to build Imran Khan's stage, and twenty more will be placed at the venue.
The party sources said that the police have termed the previous location of the stage that was falling in the area of Shamasabad at Sixth Road as sensitive and insecure.
The sources said the local police came and stopped the work of preparing the stage at Shamasaba. However, the party leaders expressed satisfaction with the decision of the police and changed the venue.
The sources said the local police have also collected the identity cards of the PTI workers who are responsible of the preparation of the stage and a canteen there.
Separately, the Inspector General of Police Islamabad visited the area of Faizabad and reviewed the security arrangements.
