Fire breaks out in Lahore building, one dead

A man suffocated to death after a fire broke out in a building located in Lahore at Tibba Bab Farid, Lower Mall on Sunday.
According to a report of 24NewsTV Channel, Rescue 1122 teams extinguished the fire with the help of snorkels in time.
Rescue 1122 officials reached the spot and rescued people who were trapped in the building. However, one unidentified person died due to suffocation due to smoke, rescue officials said.
The body of the deceased was shifted to Mayo Hospital. According to the police, the investigation is going on to ascertain the reason for the fire eruption.
In another incident, a fire broke out in a building near Liberty Square.
The fire was brought under control, the cooling process continued, said rescue 1122 officials. No heavy loss is reported yet.
The DC Lahore reached the spot and monitor the extinguishing operation.
The police have been ordered to remain alert around the plaza.
