Sindh High Court bans photography, video recording on its premises

The Sindh High Court in Karachi has imposed a ban on photography and video recording across its premises, including courtrooms, corridors and waiting areas, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

According to a circular issued by the Sindh High Court on Friday, photography and video recording have also been prohibited in the court’s offices and other locations within the premises.

Permission for photography and video recording will only be granted in the area specifically designated for journalists, the circular stated.

The Sindh High Court warned that strict legal action would be taken against anyone violating the ban. Mobile phones and other recording devices of violators may also be confiscated.

Copies of the circular have been sent to the Sindh High Court Bar, Sindh Bar Council, and security authorities. All offices and security personnel within the court premises have also been informed about the ban.
