Woman throws acid at husband, two children in Ahmadpur East

A woman allegedly threw acid at her husband following a domestic dispute in the Chacha Basti Chowk area of Ahmadpur East, Bahawalpur, leaving her husband and two children with burn injuries, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday. 

According to police, Shazia allegedly attacked her husband, Shabbir Ahmed, with acid during a heated argument. Shabbir Ahmed, along with the two children Rizwan Ahmed and Azan Ahmed, sustained burn injuries in the incident.

The injured were initially shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Ahmadpur East, where they were provided first aid before being referred to Bahawal Victoria Hospital in Bahawalpur for further treatment.

Police have registered a case against the accused woman at Ahmadpur East City Police Station and launched an investigation into the incident.
