Major reshuffle in Punjab bureaucracy

Major reshuffle in Punjab bureaucracy

The Punjab government made high-level appointments and transfers in the bureaucracy changing six secretaries and three commissioners and 11 deputy commissioners including Lahore DC, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

DC Lahore Muddassir Riaz Malik (PAS) has been transferred and made an officer on special duty (OSD). Muhammad Umar Sher has been posted as Lahore DC. 

Syed Javed Iqbal Bukhari has been posted as Secretary of Higher Education Department (HED). 

Dr Ahmad Javed Qazi has been posted as Secretary Specialized Health while Sarah Aslam as Commissioner Dera Ghazi Khan. Imran Sikandar Baloch has been transferred and posted as Secretary of Primary Health Care.

Multan Commissioner Javed Akhtar Mahmood has been replaced by Irshad Ahmed as the former was made OSD.

Mujahid Sher Dil has been appointed as Secretary Planning and Development (P&D) Department. 

Muhammad Mukhtar Masood has been appointed as Secretary of the Population Welfare Department. Rawalpindi DC Amir Aqiq Khan, Sahiwal DC Babar Bashir and Gujranwala DC Muhammad Suhail Khawaja made OSD, while Danish Afzal has been transferred and posted as Rawalpindi DC.  

Faisalabad DC Muhammad Ali has been appointed as Rawalpindi DC. 

Ali Shehzad Kodi has been transferred from Multan and appointed as Deputy Commissioner Faisalabad. 

Amir Karim Khan has now been posted as Multan DC, and Khurram Shehzad as Mianwali DC. 

Hamid Shoaib Khan Jadoon has been appointed as Director-General Food.
