Rising star Aina Asif has candidly shed light on the challenges she faces on set, revealing how dismissive attitudes from senior actors can affect performances and create an uneasy working environment.
In a recent conversation, the young actress shared that she often feels unnecessarily criticized, saying that even minor actions are pointed out and sometimes imitated in a way that feels mocking.
She explained that simple remarks can be met with exaggerated reactions, making her feel as though she has said something foolish even when she knows it wasn’t inappropriate.
According to Aina, such behavior is sometimes intentional, aimed at making others feel uncomfortable.
Elaborating further, she described how disruptions during emotionally demanding scenes can be particularly frustrating. She noted that while performing intense moments such as crying or shouting some individuals may walk away, start casual conversations, or engage in laughter with others, including the director.
At times, she added, co-actors appear disengaged, even asking basic questions about cues mid-scene, which breaks the flow and causes actors to lose emotional continuity.
She admitted that these experiences initially made her angry, but over time she has learned to let go. “You can’t keep stopping everyone,” she implied, adding that such situations occur frequently across sets.
Now, she chooses not to dwell on it and focuses on maintaining her own composure.
Despite these challenges, Aina Asif continues to make a strong mark on television. In 2026, she is leading the emotional family drama Maa on Green TV Entertainment, earning praise for her portrayal of Raaha. Expanding her range, she is also set to appear in the upcoming Ramzan special Tum Larkay Bhi Na on HUM TV, where she reunites with her Judwaa co-star Ali Dayyan for a lighthearted Gen Z romance.
