Court declares PTI’s Omar Ayub ‘proclaimed offender’ in Oct 4 protest case

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Islamabad on Wednesday declared former leader of the opposition and PTI stalwart Omar Ayub Khan a proclaimed offender in October 4 protest case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The court also sought details of Omar’s assets.

It also ordered the blocking of the PTI leader’s passport and the national identity card.

ATC judge Tahir Abbas Sipra heard the case.

A case had been registered against the former leader of the opposition at Noon police station of the federal capital.

On July 24, 2025, an anti-terrorism court in Islamabad had issued bailable arrest warrants for Omar in the October 4 protest case.

ATC Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra presided over the hearing of the case, involving Omar Ayub, Senator Azam Swati, and other PTI workers.

PTI’s legal representatives, including Advocate Sardar Muhammad Masroor Khan and Zahid Bashir Dar, appeared in court on behalf of the party workers.
