Kim Kardashian joins Gen Alpha trend with ‘6, 7’ 

Kim Kardashian has shown she can still keep up with the latest internet slang after weighing in on the Gen Alpha phrase “6, 7” during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

The reality star, 44, joined in on the growing conversation around the term, which has baffled parents and teachers on both sides of the Atlantic.

The expression, popular among children and teens born between 2010 and 2024, stems from Skrilla’s viral track Doot Doot (6,7) and is used to mean “nothing” or “average.”

In a behind-the-scenes clip, Fallon jokingly told Kim it would be “another six, seven minutes,” prompting the SKIMS founder to flash a smile and reply: “6, 7.”

Fallon quickly responded: “Yeah, I don’t think kids are saying that anymore.”

But Kim insisted she had the power to revive it: “I know, it was totally over, but I just brought it back. That’s one of my superpowers. I’m Kim Kardashian and I can just bring anything back when I want.”

She doubled down with another Gen Z classic, responding 'No cap',  a term used to emphasise honesty,  before breaking into a dab, the viral dance move that first exploded in the Atlanta hip-hop scene back in 2015.

Kim didn’t stop there. She rattled off a string of older cultural references, including “Wazzup” from Scary Movie, “Groovy baby!” from Austin Powers and the infamous viral phrase “Don’t tase me, bro.”

The exchange sparked a flurry of reactions online, with some amused at Kim’s attempt to blend generational slang, while others questioned if anyone still uses the terms she tried to resurrect.

Meanwhile, the phrase “6, 7” continues to gain traction on TikTok and Instagram, where it is often deployed in memes mocking underperforming athletes or used by teens to dismiss something as “mid.” One viral clip even showed 17-year-old Taylen Kinney rating his Starbucks order a “6, 7” — instantly turning it into a trending meme.
