PPP AJK demands arrest of worker’s killers

Incharge Election Cell of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Abdul Shakoor on Monday demanded arrest of those responsible for the murder of a PPP worker in LA-9 Nakial, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Sardar Abdul Shakoorhas said that during display of weapons and harassing the people by the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) candidate Sardar Umair Naeem in the LA-9 Nakial constituency, Pakistan People’s Party worker Mukhtar Younis son of Kamran has died.

Sardar Abdul Shakoor demanded that all those involved in this sad incident should be arrested immediately and law and order should be restored in the area and the safety of the lives and property of the voters should be ensured.

He said that a few days ago, a video of Sardar Umair Naeem and his associates’ displaying weapons and intimidating the people had also come to the fore. 

If the relevant institutions had taken timely action at that time, this sad incident could have been avoided today, Sardar Abdul Shakoor added.

Sardar Abdul Shakoor demanded that the Election Commission of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the district administration and law enforcement agencies immediately investigate the incident and take strict legal action against the responsible elements so that the election process can be completed in a peaceful environment.
