Two dacoits killed in police encounter in Lahore

Two alleged dacoits were killed in an encounter with police near Manga Mandi area of Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

Police said criminal record of those killed was being checked; however their identity could not be established as yet.

The Force said there was a possibility that the slain dacoits might have been involved in an incident of dacoity and murder that took place in the area just couple of days ago.

Giving more details, investigation head said that the police conducted a raid to arrest hardened criminals. “On seeing police, the dacoits opened fire,” he said, adding, “The police retaliated. 

He said that SSP Dr. Anush had especially constituted a team for the purpose.
