Electricity rate increased by Rs2.51 per unit

The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has dropped another bombshell on the masses already overburdened with inflation as it announced hike in the electricity rates by Rs2.51 per unit on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The increase was made under the monthly fuel adjustment.
According to the notification, the increase will not apply to the Karachi-Electric (K-Electric) as well as lifeline consumers.
