Latif Khosa vs Ahsan Bhoon: SCBA elections to be held today

Annual elections of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) would be held today (Thursday), 24News HD TV Channel reported on Wednesday.
According to the reports, there was a tough contest between Asma Jahangir group and Hamid Khan group on the president seat in the elections.
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) backed Sardar Muhammad Latif Khosa was a candidate of the Asma Jahangir group while Mohammad Ahsan Bhoon advocate was contesting elections from Hamid Khan group.
As many as 40 polling booths have been set up in the Supreme Court Lahore Registry. Candidates' polling camp offices have also been set up outside the Registry.
While the road leading from GPO Gate to AG Office has been closed for normal traffic.
As per schedule, polling will be held from 8.30 am to 5 pm and the vice-chairman of the Punjab Bar Council will perform the duties of the Presiding Officer.
In the elections, 3121 lawyers including 1267 lawyers from Lahore have been declared eligible to cast their votes for the Supreme Court election.
There will be a one-on-one contest between Mohammad Ahsan Bhoon and Sardar Mohammad Latif Khosa for the presidency.
