Pakistan sees significant drop in coronavirus cases
A significant drop was seen in the fourth wave of coronavirus in Pakistan as positivity ratio reduced to 3.60%, showed the data released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Monday morning.
Pakistan reported 31 more coronavirus deaths and 1,757 new cases that emerged during the last 24 hours (Sunday).
According to the statistics released by NCOC, after the addition of 31 new deaths, the toll has now surged to 27,597, which represents a ratio of 2.2 percent.
The positivity ratio of the coronavirus cases in Pakistan has reached 3.60 percent, as 1,757 new coronavirus cases emerged in the last 24 hours after conducting 48,732 tests. It takes the total cases tally to 1,240,425.

The number of active cases in the country is 50,651 with 4,033 patients in critical condition.
There were 1,765 more recoveries recorded in the last 24 hours as the number of total recovered cases reached 1,162,177 with a 93.7% recovery rate.
Punjab, the most populous province of the country, has reported 687 new cases in the last 24 hours, taking the provincial tally to 429,081 with 19,513 active cases. In Punjab, 6 more patients died of coronavirus as the death toll reached 12,559. With 919 new recoveries, 397,009 patients have recovered from the virus in Punjab so far.
Sindh has recorded 743 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the provincial tally to 455,808 with 22,517 active cases. With 15 new deaths related to the deadly disease, the death toll in Sindh reached 7,350. With 305 new recoveries, 425,941 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recorded 187 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 173,210 with 5,175 active cases. The province reported 9 new virus-related deaths as the death toll reached 5,507. With 388 new recoveries, 162,528 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.
Balochistan has recorded another 12 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 32,861 with 202 active cases. The province reported no new death as the death toll remains at 346. With 38 new recoveries, 32,313 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.
Islamabad has recorded 99 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 105,120 with 2,285 active cases. With one new death reported in the Federal Capital, the death toll reaches 916. With 106 new recoveries, the number of recovered patients is 101,919 in the federal capital so far.
Azad Jammu and Kashmir
Azad Jammu and Kashmir has recorded 26 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 34,046 with 758 active cases. With no new death reported, the death toll remains at 735. There were 74 new recoveries in the AJK as 32,553 patients have recovered so far from the virus.
Gilgit-Baltistan recorded 3 new cases during the last 24 hours, as the tally reached 10,299 with 201 active cases. With no new death reported in the province the death toll remains at 184. There were 2 new recoveries as the number of patients recovered from the deadly disease reached 9,914.
