The detrimental impact of Maryam Nawaz' action is evident from the rift in PML-N elite, senior journalists and analysts pointed out during 24NewsHD TV programme DNA.

Salim Bokhari, Iftikhar Ahmad, PJ Mir and Javed Iqbal were of the view that due to Maryam Nawaz, differences emerged between the PML-N and PPP, resulting in PDM split.

The whole party's vote is for Army Chief extension and Maryam Nawaz is saying that I was not involved in 'this sin', they added.

Salim Bokhari said that Shehbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, Hamza Shehbaz and others have different ways of talking. Javed Iqbal revealed Maryam Nawaz and Hamza Shehbaz have been at loggerheads for a long. Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif are one but the differences among the core leadership are very clear, he added.

PJ Mir said that on the request of Nawaz Sharif, he met Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain to unite the Muslim League, but Khawaja Asif was against it. Javed Iqbal said that the election cannot be won by the speeches of Maryam Nawaz. Iftikhar Ahmed said that Maryam Nawaz popularised Nawaz Sharif's statement and the people listened to him.

Iftikhar Ahmed raises a question that Pentagon says it can carry out airstrikes without informing the Taliban. The world is not ready to recognize them, he said, adding that they are waiting for help from the world but unwilling to change themselves.

PJ Mir said that the United States and other countries are pursuing a wait-and-see policy. Such incidents are happening frequently in Afghanistan. Salim Bokhari said the war in Afghanistan is over, but Pakistan is still at the receiving end.

Attacks on military posts and incidents of terrorism are still going on, though the Pak army secured the border by fencing it, he said, adding that the issue was also raised in the previous programmes.

Feeling strong concerns for the people, Salim Bokhari rued that the people are striving for basic needs but the public representatives are asking for funds for privileges. Anti-people measures by the government have been adding to public problems, he added.
