Sajal Aly sends powerful message on women’s interviews after Parishae controversy

Pakistani superstar Sajal Aly has seemingly joined the conversation surrounding the recent Nadia Khan-Parishae Adnan controversy, calling for a change in the way women are questioned and discussed in the public sphere.

Taking to her Instagram handle, the Zard Patton Ka Bunn actress shared a powerful note urging society, media personalities and interviewers to focus more on women’s achievements, creativity and ambitions rather than their physical appearance or clothing choices.

“Maybe it’s time we start asking women better questions, questions about their work, their creativity, their passions, their journeys, and the things they do that inspire others!!! instead of constantly questioning how they look or what they choose to wear. There’s so much more to a woman than that,” the note read.

Although Sajal did not directly mention anyone by name, the timing of her message has drawn attention in the wake of the recent controversy surrounding actress and fitness enthusiast Parishae Adnan and host Nadia Khan.

The debate erupted after questions about Parisheh’s gym attire and how her parents respond to her clothing choices became a talking point from an interview. The exchange subsequently triggered reactions from several entertainment personalities and social media users.

Sajal’s message appeared to shift the focus towards the larger issue of how women are represented during interviews, particularly when questions about their appearance, outfits, relationships or personal choices overshadow their professional achievements.
