The much-awaited session of the Punjab Assembly was adjourned to May 16 without holding any proceedings on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi adjourned the session until the middle of the next month.

A notification in this regard was also issued by the PA speaker's office. This is the second time Pervaiz Elahi has postponed the PA session.

The crucial session will now he held at 11:30am on May 16.

The Punjab Assembly session was earlier summoned for today to take up a no-trust resolution against its Deputy Speaker Dost Mohammad Mazari. 

Police arrest PA Secretary Coordination Inayat Ullah

Ahead of the Punjab Assembly session on Thursday, the police arrested Punjab Assembly Secretary Coordination Inayat Ullah Lak while he was leaving for court.

Inayat Ullah was arrested outside the Governor House and was shifted to Garhi Shahu police station.
