Gangsters killed in Ubaro encounter

Two key members of a notorious dacoit gang were killed in Ubaro during a joint operation by Sindh Police and Rangers, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Sunday.

The operation took place in the Raunti area of Kacha, where the deceased were later identified as Sabir and Mujahid.

A police spokesman confirmed that targeted operations against criminals in the region would continue.

This follows a similar operation on December 21, 2025, in Kacha Karachi along the Sindh-Punjab border, where two notorious robbers, including the dangerous criminal Chhalu Bakarani, were killed.

Chhalu Bakarani, who carried a reward of PKR 5 million, was the leader of the Bakarani gang and a close associate of the infamous Tanveer Andhar.

He was wanted by both Sindh and Punjab police in multiple cases, including the killing of police officers, and had been considered a symbol of fear across both provinces.

During the same operation, Abdullah Dashti, another prominent member of the Chhotu gang, was killed in a drone strike.

Police described Dashti as a leader among criminals and said he was wanted in several serious cases.

According to officials, a total of nine robbers have been killed in the ongoing anti-crime operation, which is set to continue uninterrupted in Kacha Karachi and Kacha Rajwani until all wanted criminals are eliminated.
