Isolation wards established in major cities, Senate told

The Senate was informed on Friday that special isolation wards have been established at hospitals in major cities.
Leader of the House Shibli Faraz responding at a point order said special desks at all airports have also been set up to detect the patients with coronavirus.
He said Ministry of National Health Services adopted proactive measures to tackle the situation. He said awareness campaign in this regard was also underway to educate the people about preventive measures that how to protect them from coronavirus. He said so far two positive cases of coronavirus had been reported in the country and both were stable. The House initiated discussion on a clubbed motion.
Initiating the debate, Opposition Leader Raja Muhammad Zafarul Haq said world realised that people of occupied Kashmir are not safe anymore. He also condemned anti-Muslim riots and inaction of local police in Indian capital, Delhi.
He said request of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal from Centre to immediately deploy Army in the capital has been turned down which is alarming.
Negating the impression of opposition regarding political victimization, Senator Faisal Javed said all the cases on political leaders were prepared during the time of previous governments. Commenting on economy, he said international organisations are acknowledging stability of economy of the country. He said the price hike in the country is because of bad economic decisions by previous governments. The House will now meet again on Monday at 3:00pm.
