PTI leaders fail to turn up for hearing in ECP contempt case

No leader from Tehreek-e-Insaf turned up for the hearing of a case against PTI Chairman Imran Khan, Asad Umar and Fawad Ahmad Chaudhry for committing contempt of the commission, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
A four-member bench of the ECP headed by Nisar Durrani from Sindh heard the case in the Commission office.
As the proceedings started, ECP member from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Justice (Retd) Ikramullah remarked that there was no one present from the PTI side, neither the lawyer nor any leader.
He further remarked that if there was no one present from the PTI side for case hearing why the members should not issue an order for contempt of the ECP?
