Mild earthquake hits Qilla Saifullah

An earthquake measuring 3.1 on the Richter scale jolted Qilla Saifullah and its surrounding areas in Balochistan province in the wee hours of Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

People came out of their homes in panic and started reciting verses from the Huly Quran. No loss of life and property was reported from any part of Qilla Saifullah due to the earthquake.

National Seismic Monitoring Centre in Islamabad said the epicenter of the earthquake was located 100 kilometres northeast of Muslim Bagh at a depth of 16 kilometres.

It is pertinent to mention here that on Monday, earthquake tremors were also felt in Dalbandin and the adjacent areas of Balochistan.

That quake measured 4.2 on the Richter scale with a depth of 66 kilometres, and its epicenter was located 47 kilometres southeast of Dalbandin.
